  • Jitters overcome: Jordan Zimmermann (+5.7%) gives up 2 runs before recording an out, then follows up with 8 scoreless innings including 8 strikeouts and no walks.
  • Quick comeback (I'm calling it that): Denard Span (+19.8%) leads off the home half of the first with a triple (+9.4%), scoring two batters later on a Jayson Werth (+18.0%) RBI single (+10.4%).
  • Second verse, same as the first: DSpan singles in the go-ahead run in the 2nd (+10.7%), scoring on a subsequent Anthony Rendon (+13.6%) ROE to put the Nats up by two (+10.0%). The WereWerth singles in a 5th run (+7.3%) on the next AB.
  • Stat padder: Asdrubal Cabrera (+8.1%) gives Soriano a night off with a third-inning solo shot to put the Nats up by 4.
