Fister is awfully good, and it was nice to see some D1NG3RZ!

He's into it, dude.

  • Good defense, too: Doug Fister (+25.6%) looks mighty ace-ish, getting charged 1 unearned run over 7 IP with 7 Ks and no walks. Gotta work on his hitting, though.
  • This is how a bearded hitter should hit: Adam LaRoche (+14.1%) is 2-4 with a pair of home runs, one a two-run job in the first to stretch the early lead (+15.5%), and the other a junk-time, stat-padder of a solo bomb in the 7th (+0.2%).
  • Second-place beard: Jayson Werth (+8.1%) is 1-2 with a walk and a first-inning RBI single for the early lead (+8.9%).
  • Grow it out for a couple of innings: Danny Espinosa puts the game close to laffer territory with a three-run jack to left in the 6th (+5.6%).
