The Washington Nationals announced an official start time for Game 2 of the NLDS this afternoon and the potential start times for Game 1 of the National League Division Series, which depends upon which team they will be facing.

Here's the info they sent out on Twitter (@Nationals):

A 12:07 start time? So early. A 3:07 start time? So shadowy. And perhaps "Sun Monster-y"...?

The Pirates and Giants are going to play the NL Wild Card Game on Wednesday night in PNC Park with Madison Bumgarner on the mound against Pirates' right-hander Edinson Volquez.

The Nationals, who clinched the National League's best record on Friday afternoon have to wait to see which team they'll take on in their second postseason appearance in the last three seasons.

Nats' skipper Matt Williams told reporters this week and that he and his coaches would gather to watch the Wild Card Game on Wednesday and make an announcement on Friday and Saturday's starters after they know who their opponents will be.

"We just want to make sure we know who we play and try to make the best decisions we can to try to combat that opponent."

The Nationals do, however, know which umpiring crew will be handling the NLDS.

NatsInsider.com's Mark Zuckerman tweeted out the names of the umpires this afternoon, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief that Angel Hernandez is not among the names announced. No "Balking Bob" either...:

Also, in case you missed it, the Washington Post's Kelyn Soong dug out the column Shirley Povich wrote on the last no-hitter by a starter from the nation's capital before Jordan Zimmermann's on Sunday:
