The Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins are on the radio at 1:05 pm EDT today live from Jupiter, Florida's Roger Dean Stadium where starters Jordan Zimmermann and Fish right-hander Jarred Cosart go at it in Grapefruit League action. Zimmermann makes his sixth start of the Spring after going (2-0) with a 1.37 ERA, four walks and 15 Ks in 19 ⅔ IP over which he's held opposing hitters to a .267 BAA.

Last time out on the mound, this past Friday, Zimmermann, 28, gave up four hits, two walks and one earned run in six innings of work on the mound against the St. Louis Cardinals.

He said afterwards, that he put together a solid outing in spite of the weather conditions and felt strong afterwards.

"I felt good, felt strong. Arm felt fine," Zimmermann told reporters including MASN's Chris Johnson. "It wasn't the ideal conditions to pitch in today, but I survived.":

"I didn't have very good control of anything. Moving around on the mound. Breaking balls weren't really breaking and it's tough to throw those in a cross wind. It felt good for the most part."

Zimmermann today makes his last start before he takes the mound in regular season action in the second game of the season next Wednesday in Nationals Park for the second of the season opening three-game set with the New York Mets.

Here's the lineup that will be backing Zimmermann up this afternoon:
