Game 153 WPA: Not the best goodbye. Nats lose, J-Zim continues to pummel his future FA value, perhaps to set up a sweet home team discount?

It's not the way we'd prefer to have NN's time in DC end, but the dingers allowed are on him. The lack of run support he should be used to by now.

Good luck in your future endeavors, unless you're playing the Nats.

(What do these graphs mean?)

  • So long, farewell, good night: Jordan Zimmermann (-38.2%) lops another $1M off his next contract, giving up 6 runs in 5 IP with 6 Ks and 2 walks. MAT's misplay aside (-30.5%), he'd still be on the hook for at least 3 runs.
  • Make it respectable! Jayson Werth (+10.7%) singles in a run with two down in the first to give the Nats a brief lead (+10.1%), and later smacks a solo shot to pad his stats with the game well out of hand (+2.9%).
  • Who's the failin'est? Yunel Escobar (-10.4%) is 0-4 with 2 LOB and a GDP, while Bryce Harper (-5.3%) is 0-4 with 3 Ks, and Michael Taylor (-5.2%) is 0-4 with 2 Ks and 3 LOB.

Tonight's WPA brought to you by letting go:
