Game 157 WPA: It'll all be over soon. Nats lose, manage to make me look forward to winter.

Is it some sort of weird hazing that Trea goes yard and everyone else just keeps failing in the clutch (which does not exist).

(What do these graphs mean?)

  • Quality is insufficient: Tanner Roark (-8.6%) gives up 2 runs in 6.2 IP with 4 Ks and 1 walk, both on solo shots.
  • Ian who? Trea Turner (+32.3%) is 2-3 with a walk and his first major league HR to tie the game in the 6th (+19.1%).
  • Feeling the love: Bryce Harper (-27.8%) is 0-3 with a walk, 3 LOB and a GDP.
  • Ralliers: Jayson Werth (+2.7%) singles to lead off the 9th (+11.6%). Clint Robinson (+8.9%) follows up to put two on (+17.0%).
  • More trouble with offense: Ian Desmond (-20.4%) is 1-3 with a double, a walk, and a GDP to kill the 9th inning rally (-31.9%).
  • Hero to zero: Matt den Dekker (-21.6%) is 0-4 with 3 LOB a K to end the game with a runner on 2nd (-10.2%).

Tonight's WPA brought to you by this season, man, I don't even know, you know:
