Game 133 WPA: Junk time came early. Nats win by a ton.

The Zimmerman(n) boys had another good game, and for once early junk time was a good thing.

Clint's first knock was all we needed, but why not tack on 13 more runs? I'll wait.

(What do these graphs mean?)

  • Interesting approach: Jordan Zimmermann (+1.4%) walks 4 and strikes out 5 while giving up 1 run in 6 IP, but his good outing hardly registers amongst all the fireworks.
  • Quick out of the blocks (metaphorically): Clint Robinson (+18.7%) singles in two runs with two outs in the first for the winning tallies.
  • WPA ran out quickly: Ian Desmond (+8.0%) is 1-4 with a double, a walk, and an advance on a WP. Bryce Harper (+7.3%) is 0-0 with 4 walks (one of which forced in a run) and 4 runs scored. Ryan Zimmerman (+6.4%) is 3-3 with a pair of doubles and 4 RBI.
  • Assorted stat-padders: Yunel Escobar (+4.2%) is 3-4 with a walk. Danny Espinosa (+0.0%) is 2-2 with a two-out solo shot in the ayeth to put the Nats up by 14 (+0.0%). Wilson Ramos (+5.2%) is 2-4 with a double.

Tonight's WPA brought to you by good times like old times:
