After hitting 42 HRs last season and taking home the NL MVP award in a .330/.460/.649, 9.5 fWAR campaign for the disappointing Washington Nationals, now-23-year-old 2010 no.1 overall pick Bryce Harper decided to relive his "glory days", returning to the College of Southern Nevada where he put up a .443/.526/.987 line with 23 doubles and 31 HRs in 66 games in his one season of JUCO ball before he was drafted by the Nats.
Harper's home run swing appears to be in mid-season form. He launched a BP fastball to right field in the video posted on Instagram.
Would it have cleared the out-of-town scoreboard in right field in Nationals Park? Or was it more of a back wall of the bullpen kind of blast?
It won't be long now before the Nationals' slugger is in Viera, Florida, taking cuts against the Nationals' starters as they all prepare for the 2016 campaign.
