The Washington Nationals released their Spring Training schedule this morning for what will be their first season in their new Spring home, The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Washington will play the first home game on the the Spring Training schedule on February 28th, against their partners in the new facility, the Houston Astros.
Before that, the Nationals travel to Port St. Lucie, FL, to take on the New York Mets in the Grapefruit League opener (2/25/17), then they take on the the Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers, FL. (2/26), and the St. Louis Cardinals in Jupiter, Fla. (2/27), before they play their inaugural home game at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
The Nationals will play 16 games at home in West Palm Beach (against the Mets, Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves) and they’ll welcome the St. Louis Cardinals on March 3rd, 10th and 24th, the Minnesota Twins on March 5th, Boston Red Sox on March 7th, the Detroit Tigers on March 13th, and New York Yankees on March 20th, and, as noted in a press release on the Spring schedule, “the Nationals will also serve as the road team in three games against the Astros at the shared stadium.”
Washington and Houston will play each other seven times overall, “... with the Nationals hosting on Feb. 28, March 12, March 18, and March 26, while the Astros will serve as the home team on March 2, March 15, and March 25.”

Season ticket packages for all 31 games at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, as well as Nationals 16-game packages, will be available beginning on Nov. 28th at 9 a.m. online at nationals.com/spring, and via phone at 888.632.NATS (6287). Beginning Dec. 12th, four-game Flex Plans will be available at nationals.com/spring.
Single-game tickets for all Astros and Nationals Spring contests will be available beginning in January.
