(What do these graphs mean?)

  • A little more on form: Max Scherzer (+38.3%) throws seven scoreless with 9 Ks and no walks. Now, that's the way we like it! At the plate, he's 2-2 with a sac bunt to set up the Nats' first run.
  • Sunday start hero (part 1): Matt den Dekker (+9.8%) singles in a run to get the Nats on the board and in the lead with one down in the 6th (+14.4%).
  • Sunday start hero (part 2): Clint Robinson (+15.6%) belts a two-run homer to right center for the winning tallies with one out in the 7th (+19.0%).
  • This is just junk-timing: Danny Espinosa (+0.8%) follows up Clint's bomb with a solo shot of his own on the very next pitch (+4.7%).
  • Speaking of stat-padding: Chris Heisey (+0.4%) hits another pinch home run with two down in the 9th.
