After a night that felt like a playoff atmosphere, the Nationals then continued with the theme - by taking the night off. So much for a rhythm.

Strasburg told his agent he wanted to remain in Washington, something that nearly nobody expected. A few months after that conversation, Strasburg signed a seven-year extension, and believe it or not, it all started with grilled salmon and shrimp.

It's all ups and downs for the Nationals
The Nationals have been inconsistent all season long. If it's a trend, we could be in for a long year. Or not. Who knows!

Nats fan nearly ran out of K signs for Scherzer's 20 K game.
She doesn't have more than twenty signs, considering that nobody has ever thrown more in nine innings. Close one.

Ramos among elite company in past 150 games
Buster Posey, Salvador Perez, Yadier Molina and Jonathan Lucroy are all extremely impressive catchers. However, in the last 150 games, none have the same accomplishments as Wilson Ramos, who has caught three no-hitters, and now, a twenty strikeout game.

Max Scherzer's 20 K game was unusual - even for a twenty strikeout game
Scherzer pounded the strike zone, and somehow still struck out twenty, mainly thanks to his fastball.
