Game 25 WPA: Still rolling. Nats win 2-0.

Gio had oddly familiar but oddly not-Gio-esque but somehow still effective outing. Zim got a pair of doubles, but Harp hasn't shaken off his funk. Also, 1,000 hits for Murphy (not all in this game)!

(What do these graphs mean?)

  • P2K is better, though this was good enough: Gio Gonzalez (+35.6%) throws six scoreless with 2 walks and a strikeout.
  • Heating up? Ryan Zimmerman (+10.3%) hits a first-inning RBI double to get the Nats on the board and in the lead and set up their second run (+11.1%), and also a 9th-inning double because he's a total stat-padder.
  • Lukewarm, at best: Bryce Harper (-8.4%) is 1-4 with a caught stealing and 2 LOB.
  • Back in the saddle: Sammy Solis (+8.0%) throws a 1-2-3 7th to earn a shutdown.
  • Trickeration: Oliver Perez (+11.7%) gets a pair of strikeouts to seal a scoreless aeyth and a shutdown.
  • Mr. 1,000: Daniel Murphy (+6.1%) is 3-4 with a double and an RBI groundout.
  • Was anyone else worried? Jonathan Papelbon (+8.9%) gets a pair of popups to CF and a K to finish the game and get a shutdown of his own.
