Game 49 WPA: Time out. Nats lose 2-6.

Scherzer had a bit of a lapse in the 3rd, and the rest of the Nats couldn't overcome it. Also, Alan Porter is incompetent and should be fired.

If you were to hit a batter (or umpire) after time is given, it's not like they get a base. Just sayin'.

(What do these graphs mean?)

  • All good except that one inning: Max Scherzer (-25.1%) walks in a run (-10.0%) and gives up a grand slam in the 3rd (-19.7%) as part of a 7 inning, 5-run, 6-K, 4-BB outing.
  • Making outs: Bryce Harper (-8.1%) GDPs to with two on and no out in the first rally (-10.1%). Ryan Zimmerman (-14.3%) "drives in" a run with a GDP in the 6th (-9.5%).
  • Such a junk-timer: Danny Espinosa (-1.6%) finally goes yard from the right with a 5th-inning solo shot to pad his stats (+4.4%).
  • Maybe warming up: Anthony Rendon (+7.2%) is 2-3 with a walk and a double.

Today's WPA brought to you by you dirty jinxers are going to share my pain tonight:
