Game 27 WPA: Hit parade. Nats win 13-2.

The Nats have another big first inning, then they keep tacking on over the whole game. Stras pitched reasonably well, and Harp got some hits.

These guys can hit some doubles, I tell you what.

(What do these graphs mean?)

  • Sharp enough: Stephen Strasburg (-1.6%) gives up 2 runs over 6 IP with 7 Ks and a walk.
  • A pair of lazy flies: Bryce Harper (+5.1%) is 2-4 with a bloop RBI single to get the Nats on the board in the 1st (+5.4%) and a stately solo bomb in the 5th for the Nats' 12th run (+0.0%).
  • All-inning rally: Ryan Zimmerman (+12.8%) is 3-5 with a first-inning RBI double (+11.5%). Daniel Murphy (+11.3%) is 4-5 with a two-RBI double in the first (+8.5%) and a junk-time solo dinger in the 4th (+0.7%).
  • Meritorious but unheralded by WPA: Wilson Ramos (+1.2%) is 3-5 with a double.
