(What do these graphs mean?)

  • Well, it was only a no-decision: Joe Ross (-6.7%) gives up 2 runs in 6 1/3 IP with 5 strikeouts and a walk.
  • Double double(s): Danny Espinosa (+12.2%) just misses going yard on a two-out RBI double to tie the game with two out in the 2nd (+11.3%). Joe Ross (+14.9% hitting) helps himself out with a two-out, go-ahead RBI double in the very next AB (+11.8%).
  • Smoke and mirrors: Oliver Perez (+23.5%) comes on in the 7th with 2 RISP and one out, and ends the inning with the tie intact to earn a shutdown.
  • Go-ahead: WIlson Ramos (+24.3%) puts the Nats on top with a two-out solo bomb in the ayeth (+31.0%).
  • High-leverage: Felipe Rivero (+10.0%) gets the first two outs in the aeyth to earn a shutdown.
  • All fall down: Michael Taylor doesn't get tagged with the WPA for his three-base, two-run error to lose the game in the 9th (-81.2%), although it gets poor Shawn Kelley (-79.5%) a meltdown.
