(What do these graphs mean?)

  • Pitching to contact is perilous: Joe Ross (-11.8%) "scatters" 10 hits over 6 IP, giving up 4 runs with 7 Ks and a walk.
  • Trea Turner is starting in CF for Syracuse tonight: Ben Revere (+18.8%) finds that looking over his should is just the adjustment he needs, going 4-5 with 3 steals and 3 runs scored.
  • Fuse-lighter: Bryce Harper (+23.1%) is 2-3 with a pair of walks, a SB, and an RBI single to get the Nats on the board in the 3rd (+12.3%).
  • BOOM! goes the dynamite: Anthony Rendon (+20.7%) is 2-4 with a SB and a two-RBI single to tie the game with two outs in the 3rd (+19.6%).
  • Already fleeing Turner: Danny Espinosa (+21.3%) is 3-5 with a SB, a go-ahead RBI single with two down in the 3rd (+11.3%) and an RBI double in the 5th (+7.8%).

Tonight's WPA brought to you by unexpected celebrations:
