According to a recent in-game report from MASN's Dan Kolko, Washington Nationals' second baseman Daniel Murphy (who currently leads the majors with a .350 AVG), brought his home run celebration (which includes a double high-five -- or is it a high-ten -- and two players yelling #FWAHHH! at each other) with him from New York.
Kolko reported that Murphy appropriated the celebration from former Mets teammate Lucas Duda, but don't let that spoil it for you.
It's still a lot of fun to yell #FWAHHH along with Murphy and his new mates in the Nats' dugout whenever one of them hits a home run and you can make the magic last now with a new #FWAHHH!! t-shirt from our friends at Breaking T.
Murphy also noted that there's really no interesting backstory to the celebration.

It's not a pop culture reference or a sly nod to a movie or anything like everything else in the world these days, which makes it kind of unique. It's just a genuine, celebratory scream. If you didn't notice it in the Nationals' dugout, or hear MASN's F.P Santangelo talking about it, you'll notice it every time now.
Here's the pitch/product info from Breaking T with all the relevant information:
"Daniel Murphy is the hottest player in baseball right now, leading the league in batting average. He can also take the ball deep. And when he does, you can expect him to greet his teammates in the dugout with a big double high five "FWAHHH!!" shout. Now the trend is catching on, with more of the Nats joining in on the epic rallying cry.
"By the way folks, this is the officially sanctioned proper spelling of "FWAHHH!!" according to the Washington Nationals front office. Accept no substitutions!"
