Game 58 WPA: We gotcha, bro. Nats win 10-5

Joe Ross had some trouble finding the zone tonight, but the Nats slugged for a ton of runs and the bullpen was nails.

  • Good thing your teammates picked you up: Joe "Free Passes, Tonight Only (I hope)" Ross (-33.2%) gives up 5 runs over 4 IP with 5 Ks, 4 walks, and a HBP.
  • Picking up your teammate (part 1): Anthony "I gotcha, Bro" Rendon (+36.4%) hits an RBI double to get the Nats on the board in the second and set up a game-tying run (+14.9%).
  • Picking up your teammate (part 2): Mighty Ant smacks a two-run dinger to left to get the Nats back within one with two outs in the 4th after Ross can't keep it tied (+16.2%).
  • Picking up your teammate (part 3): Bryce "I gotcha, too, Bro" Harper (+23.6%) gets Ross off the hook again with a two-run double to give the Nats the lead in the 5th (+24.8%).
