Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

We're less than two weeks away from the trade deadline - strap in folks, we're almost to the day everyone has been waiting for since the season started.

While you wait, here's the news.

Ryan Zimmerman's ribcage feels good
The first baseman will soon get back in the swing of things... literally. Zimmerman will get to swing the bat for the first time since he landed on the DL within the next week or so.

Nats to call up Reynaldo Lopez, place Sammy Solis on DL
The 22-year-old will get the start tonight - while Sammy Solis will head to the DL with right knee sorenesss, according to Dusty Baker.

The Nats want to run aggressively - even if it means they sometimes make outs on the basepaths
Sometimes, it ends really well (see: Danny Espinosa going home on a bunt, and everyone reaches base safely), and sometimes it ends poorly (see: Trea Turner failing to stretch a single into a double with no outs in a tie game) - but Dusty Baker has always wanted the Nats to run aggressively.

Bryce Harper will be featured granting local girl's wish in "My Wish"
ESPN's "My Wish" series is running on SportsCenter every night this week - and tonight, the story Harper's day with a Gaithersburg, Maryland native will air.

The Yankees are scouting the Nationals (and the Syracuse Chiefs)

New York is scouting Washington, presumably to see if there are any players they would be interested in acquiring in a trade. Even so, the bigger question for the Nats is who the Yankees would send to D.C. (Miller? Chapman? Beltran?)

Today's Game: Dodgers vs Nationals - 7:05 PM (MASN2, WJFK)
Probable Pitchers: Scott Kazmir (7-3, 4.52 ERA) vs Reynaldo Lopez (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
