Game 86 WPA: The Stoppah. Nats win 7-4.

Roark's pitching to contact isn't the best, but it's enough as the Nats go yard again and again.

(What do these graphs mean?)

  • P2K is always better, how many times do I have to say it? Tanner Roark (-0.9%) gives up 4 runs over 7 IP with 6 Ks and a walk. Net negative.
  • I still like him pulling the ball: Bryce Harper (+16.9%) lines one the other way into the visiting bullpen for a three-run shot in the first to put the Nats ahead for a while (+21.8%).
  • Junk timer! Jose Lobaton (+5.8%) hits a solo shot just over the out of town scoreboard to pile on in the 2nd (+5.6%).
  • Make the most of your hit: Stephen Drew (+10.3%) is 1-4, but it's a two-out, go-ahead, ground-rule double in the 3rd (+12.3%).
  • The kids call him, "Zim!" Ryan Zimmerman (+19.1%) can pad his stats all he'd like on a day he does 2-3 with a walk and a two-run bomb in the fifth for some breathing room (+16.7%).
