Wire Taps: Ryan Zimmerman, Jose Lobaton begin rehab assignments; Can Trea Turner keep it going?; Clint Robinson, Matt Belisle talk altitude

The Nationals took last night's series opener with the Rockies in Colorado. Catch up the last 24 hours of Nats news before they play the second of three in Coors Field...

Certain guys are really good in certain places - for instance, Gio Gonzalez has a 1.64 ERA at Citi Field. Other guys... not so much. Max Scherzer certainly falls into the latter category at Coors Field - heading into last night's game, Scherzer had a 5.32 ERA in Colorado - and his four inning, four run outing probably didn't help.

Bryce Harper back in the lineup, but not providing many answers
Harper is finally back, but after Sunday's win against the Braves, the right-fielder's answers regarding his injury were pretty vague.

Ryan Zimmerman, Jose Lobaton begin rehab assignments with Syracuse
Zimmerman and Lobaton started last night with Triple-A Syracuse (Zimmerman hit a home run in his first at-bat).

Can Trea Turner keep playing this well?
Trea Turner has impressed since he earned his starting role with the Nats... but can he keep it going?

Mat Latos joins Syracuse, Erick Fedde up to Double-A
A quick round-up of last week's news from Nationals' farm system.

Clint Robinson, Matt Belisle explain what the altitude can do to a baseball game
Belisle, who pitched with the Rockies for six seasons, and Robinson, who played for the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes (a city with a higher elevation than Denver), both know well what some thin air does to a ballgame.

Today's Game: Nationals vs Rockies - 8:40 PM (MASN 2, WJFK)
Probable Pitchers: Gio Gonzalez (8-9, 4.24 ERA) vs Chad Bettis (10-6, 5.27 ERA)
