Successful baseball players have a lot of money lying around compared to the rest of us. Some spend it on fast cars but the Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman is a family man and he spends his money on his family.
Zimmerman is a private guy. When we do hear of him outside of baseball he's usually working to find a cure for multiple sclerosis, which afflicts his mother, but this time we find him buying his daughters a custom built two-story playhouse for his backyard.
The $50,000 playhouse was ostensibly built for Ryan's two-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, but it seems a sure bet that her younger sister Hayden will get plenty of use out of it in the coming years as well.
This clip here is a sneak peek at this week's episode of Playhouse Masters, a reality show on TLC through which you can experience the pressures of building luxury playhouses under time constraints.
The Zimmermans’ episode of Playhouse Masters is airing on TLC tonight starting at 10 p.m. Eastern time. If Max Scherzer works fast you can catch them back to back.
While some may begrudge Zimmerman happiness due to his of struggles on the baseball field this year it is always great to see baseball players leading healthy and positive lives off the field.
The man has been a great role model for many Nationals players and fans. It looks like he’s intent on being a good father too.
