The process was a relatively quick one, but in the end the Washington Nationals found their new manager and announced that Dave Martinez got the gig, his first managerial job at any level. “We came away from the process feeling like there was absolutely no one better suited – who matched up to what this organization needs right now – than Dave,” Nats’ GM Mike Rizzo said in a press release on the decision. Martinez will be in the nation’s capital on Thursday for an introductory press conference.
