The Washington Nationals put together one of the best innings in recent memory.
The Nationals tallied five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning thanks to a two-run home run by Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman’s three-run digger to left field, which carried the Nationals past the Chicago Cubs in Game 2 of the NLDS.
Harper and Zimmerman’s home runs brought life into Nationals Park as fans were silent since the first inning.
Now, it was probably an unforgettable moment for any Nationals fans that were lucky enough to attend Saturday’s game. But Charlie Slowes’ radio call is simply amazing. Listen for yourself.

For a Nationals team that struggled to get anything going at the plate during Game 1 and most of Game 2, the eighth inning may have given the Nationals momentum and confidence moving forward into the series.
