Houston’s Astros got their first World Series championship last night with their Game 7 win in Los Angeles, California’s Dodger Stadium. Sorry, Dodgers.
Seattle and Washington are the only teams that have never made it to the World Series, and the Mariners, Nationals, Colorado Rockies, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, and Texas Rangers are the only teams that have not won one.
DC baseball now with the second-longest World Series drought. 59 seasons (1925-71; 2005-17). Only Cleveland has gone longer. Good times.
