In the latest attempt to get the FanPost section at Federal Baseball more active than it is, we’ve decided to adopt a trending idea across the SB Nation’s baseball’s sites:

FanPost Fridays! Each Friday, starting today and throughout the season (hopefully), we will post a topic for consideration and close the comments on the story to encourage readers to offer their own take in the FanPosts section, which, if you’re unaware, is on the right sidebar of the front page of Federal Baseball.

We also collect quality FanPosts in the FBB FanPost section, which is located just under the top five stories on the front page.

Going forward, however, we’re going to change things up a little bit.

Whichever stories generate the most comments and recs over the weekend will be shared on the front page, in the Top 5 stories on Monday.

We’ll also share those stories on our Twitter feed (7300+ followers) and our Facebook page (18K+ followers).

It’s a great opportunity to get your work in front of a wider audience and share your own thoughts on the big topics of the day.

We’ll start with something simple: What’s your biggest concern about the 2017 Nationals going into Spring Training?

Is it the overall depth on the roster, which Fangraphs.com’s Dave Cameron wrote about this week?

Is it the lack of a bona fide closer? The bullpen depth in the majors?

Are you worried that if Bryce Harper wasn’t injured he was unable to adjust to how opposing pitchers were attacking him last season?

What about the Nationals’ starting depth? Are you worried that the Nats are lacking in starting depth after trading Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez to the Sox?

Are you worried about Stephen Strasburg bouncing back from last summer’s season-ending injury? Are you worried Max Scherzer’s stress fracture in the ring finger of his right hand?

Share your long-form thoughts with your fellow readers and we’ll share your stories with FBB’s audience. Get to it.

Note: As previously mentioned, the comments below are closed to encourage you to write FanPosts.
