Chris Heisey is best known among Nationals fans for two home runs. The first came in April of 2016 against the Minnesota Twins, a walk-off home run to end a marathon sixteen inning game.
The second came in October of the same year, in Game 5 of the NLDS, when Heisey launched a fly ball over the left field fence to bring Washington within one run of the LA Dodgers.
However, Spring Training is an ideal time to look at prospects -- and although it may be a few years/decades early, Chris Heisey’s three-year-old son got his shot at big-league camp after Thursday’s 2-2 tie between the Nats and the Marlins.
As seen in the videos below, the father-son duo took batting practice on the field at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches after the game, with the younger Heisey hitting.
The toddler showed great range, hitting line drives down the middle and to the opposite field.
Most importantly though, he had a crowd of adoring fans, rooting him on.
Understandably, the young slugger hammed it up, rounding the bases to copious levels of applause.

A future MVP, no doubt.
