THERE WAS SO MUCH HAPPENING.

The Nats (finally) beat the Phillies on Friday night, but it took extra innings. However, the 1-2 combo of Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy made quick work of former Phillies’ closer Jeanmar Gomez, with Harper lacing a single to right field, and Murphy knocking Harper in with a double down the left field line.

There was a lot more than the typical walk-off procession (hit, run, celebrate, Gatorade) happening here though.

Let’s take a look at some of the best parts.

The actual hit itself:

The classic. Daniel ‘Hits’ Murphy found another hole on the field, and Bryce Harper rewarded him by flying home. Speaking of Bryce Harper flying home...

Bryce Harper knocked off his helmet and accidentally kicked it, but kept running anyways:

Bryce Harper may already be bringing back the era of big hair, but when he knows that what he’s doing will be on highlight reels across the nation, he makes the extra effort by flipping the helmet off to flaunt what he’s got to the world. The only problem: he accidentally kicked his helmet. No harm done it appears.

Bryce Harper scores, Jayson Werth immediately embraces him in bear hug

Jayson Werth was waiting in the hole to bat when Daniel Murphy stepped up to the plate.

His talents weren’t needed, but he was the first one to greet Bryce Harper with a big ol’ hug as soon as he slid past home. Awwwwwwwwww.

Daniel Murphy is world’s most humble person in post-game interview

MASN Dan comments on Daniel Murphy’s stardom, Daniel Murphy bobblehead day, why Daniel Murphy is greatest baseball player of all-time. Murphy’s response?

Daniel Murphy: “Oh dear.”

The fact that it was freaking Daniel Murphy bobblehead day:

HOW, JUST HOW?
