Bryce Harper overrated? That's a clown question, bro!

If spring training and the beginning of the regular season is any indication, Bryce Harper is back and is better than ever.

Through the first 16 games of the season thus far, Harper is hitting with a ridiculous .407 BA along with a .521 OBP. As of today, he is, well, the best hitter on the planet. Here's another fun fact for you: Harper has hit a grand total of 7 HRs through 16 games this year. If you were to do the math that puts him around a 70-home run pace. I'm not saying he's going to get there, but this crazy stretch shows just how good he has been. Don't leave out the fact that he's also on pace for 200 RBI....just sayin'...

We are only a couple weeks into the season so it's very early to talk about any awards, but right now Bryce Harper would be the National League's MVP by a landslide. It's honestly hard for me to think of someone else that can compete for it. I'm just stating the obvious here! More importantly though, if Harper can maintain ( which will be very hard to do ) or at least play at a top-tier level all season long, this could be the key for the Nationals to WIN in the playoffs. Again, it's early still, but if Harper plays anywhere remotely close to the way that he is playing now but in October, it's just the icing on top of the cake for this Nationals team.

Bryce Harper has been awesome this year and has really made up for his lackluster 2016 campaign thus far (knock on wood). But can he keep it up? What do you think? Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
