(What do these graphs and percentages mean?)
- Trouble with the long ball, but not too much trouble: Max Scherzer (+23.1%) gives up 3 runs over 8 innings pitched with 9 strikeouts and a single walk.
- It got late early: Daniel Murphy (+19.1%) drives in the winning runs with one out in the first, swatting a grand slam to right center (+23.5%).
- This is some classy veteran junk-timing: Ryan Zimmerman (+15.7%) cranks a two-run bomb off the facing of the second deck in left field and into the hands of an ecstatic young Nats fan with two outs in the aeyth (+19.2%).
- “Saves” are dumb: Koda Glover (+7.8%) gives up a leadoff single (where by “gives up,” I mean, “deals with Oliver Perez’ inherited runner”) but gets 3 quick outs afterward for a scoreless 9th and a shutdown.
