Daniel Murphy is coming off of the most successful season in his career, in which he finished second in NL MVP voting, only beaten out by Kris Bryant.
He picked up where he left off last season on Monday, going 2 for 4 with a run-scoring single in the Nats’ 4-2 win over the Miami Marlins.
However, Murphy’s day wasn’t done when Blake Treinen recorded the final out, firmly putting the Nats on pace for 162 victories this season.
Instead, he went out on the field to play ball with his three-year-old son, Noah.
From the looks of it, Noah is a total natural.
This, by the way, isn’t the first time a mini-Nat has gone on the field after the game, even this year.
Chris Heisey’s son treated the fans at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches to a show during spring training, hitting blasts and even running the bases after every one.
It just shows, it really pays to be a major-leaguer’s kid.
