Wire Taps: Mike Rizzo thinks Nationals fans will love Adam Eaton; Tanner Roark's road to success; Lucas Giolito in Chicago

Catch up on the latest news on the 2-0 Washington Nationals before this afternoon's 4:05 PM EDT finale with the Miami Marlins...

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Tanner Roark looked about like what he is last night: A guy that, due to a rainout, hadn't pitched in long over a week.

Speaking of rainouts, the forecast looks like it has a window to play the game in, but after a one or two hour delay.

Another thing to watch for today: Bryce Harper's favorite opposing pitcher, Tom Koehler (.344 average, 6 homers, 11 RBI in only 32 ABs) is on the mound today for the Fish, meaning that long balls are not out of the question.

With all that in mind, let's look at today's links.

Player Preview: Tanner Roark
Roark impressed in 2016, and seems to only be getting better. He may regress a little from his exceptional performance from last year because the league will have seen him more, but he's still an A-grade starter.

Mike Rizzo: Nats fans will love Adam Eaton
Mike Rizzo knows the price was steep, but he thinks that fans are going to fall in love with the already-impressive Adam Eaton.

Roark: The most interesting starter in the world
The Nats haven't always believed in Roark, but he's pushed his way through the system, somehow, to become one of the Nats' best pitchers. How, exactly, did that happen? And exactly how bright is the future for Roark?

Lucas Giolito, Yoan Moncada, both once centerpieces of their old prospect systems, adjusting to new team
Lucas Giolito and Yoan Moncada were both blue-chip prospects for their respective teams (the Nats and Red Sox), which still didn't keep them from being traded to the south side of the Windy City.

RIP Roy Sievers
"As for midday, April 5, I haven’t seen anything in the D.C. media or nationals.com about Sievers passing. No word on if the Nationals will have any commemoration of Sievers."
