Okay, now that’s more like it! Granted, the Seattle offense may not be that good, but if Joe Ross needed a confidence-booster, he got one.

On tap for today: Tanner Roark on the hill and snowglobes at the gates. Let’s try not to kill each other this time.

Here’s the news from Nationals Park.

The Nats could turn Joe Ross into their Andrew Miller
Joe Ross is always great his first time through the order. Why not capitalize on that, by making him a late-inning reliever that can go multiple innings?

Stephen Drew rehabbing in Florida
Dusty Baker told the press that the Nationals plan to send Stephen Drew to West Palm Beach, Florida, to rehab his hamstring.

Trea Turner took the league by storm last season. This year, he couldn't be much worse. Trea Turner was hitting around .350 at the end of last season. This year, he's hitting at a low clip and isn't walking. So much for a stealing threat. Don't worry, though: he'll get it figured out.

Nationals option Brian Goodwin to Triple-A
Dusty Baker apparently didn't seem all too happy with the decision.

Ryan Zimmerman's unlikely comeback
Ryan Zimmerman hasn't looked this good since before the Nats' first playoff run. He's healthy, he's hitting the ball well, and in the right place. Hard to believe if you haven't been watching him for the last two months, right?
