Rally Pigeon don’t give a f—lap? Feather? He (or she?) doesn’t care about potentially getting hit by a wild pitch or passed ball. Hit all the home runs you want, Nationals, the crack of the bat don’t scare the Rally Pigeon. He (or she?) will just go about his (or her?) business finding stuff to eat regardless of what’s going on around him (or her?).
Throughout most of Thursday’s 15-2 win over Milwaukee, there was a pigeon just behind home plate, hanging out and ignoring the home runs flying out of the yard all game in the Washington Nationals’ 15-2 win over the Brewers.
Our friends at Breaking T, who are always quick to jump on these things, came up with a t-shirt over the last 24 hours that’s available now...
Twitter noticed the effect the Rally Pigeon was clearly having on the game, yes they did:
The umpire is gonna throw this pigeon out of the game and then Adrian Beltre is gonna adopt it pic.twitter.com/bsZ4OJiMxS— Demetrius (@fergoe) July 27, 2017
Let me tell you the story of a pigeon who had the best seat in the house for one of the most improbable innings in Nationals history pic.twitter.com/iNCJKnpQLX— Mina (@maddc8) July 27, 2017

that bird clearly gives no flaps.— Harry Pavlidis (@harrypav) July 27, 2017
The Rally Pigeon, in one iteration or another (I like to think it’s the same pigeon, if it is a pigeon at all, don’t ask, Twitter likes to argue about stuff), for several years now, the Rally Pigeon was clearly behind everything that happened yesterday.
