It looked like Gio Gonzalez was slipping for a minute there, but after a strong showing in Atlanta, he appears to be back on track. Now, the question: Will he stay on track for the playoffs?

Instead of getting surgery, he's trying to run, and be useful on the baseball field, which is admirable if not dangerous. But if he's healthy and going well, the Nats like the idea of having him on the bench.
