The Washington Nationals have enjoyed a lot — and when I say a lot, I mean more than in any other playoff season — of turnover this year. Bullpen guys, bench guys, a starter here, a pitcher there — in short, if you weren’t a new acquisition for the 2017 season, you’re probably in the minority.
Adam Eaton and Howie Kendrick — two outfielders the Nats acquired, the former in December, the latter in July — are no exceptions to the rule. However, the two have never actually played on the field together, due to Eaton going down with an ACL injury more than two months before Kendrick even wore a Nationals uniform.
So, when Howie Kendrick showed up on the field with a mustache — nice, well kept, but a mustache nonetheless — nobody really thought much of it.
Pardon me, sir, we mustache you a question... pic.twitter.com/hEaoE7pC0U

For some reason, though, it seems that Eaton and Kendrick bonded, and as a sign of bromance, they both grew matching mustaches. You heard me right:

Not only that, but it seems kids everywhere, including Kendrick’s two sons have picked up on the trend:
Not bad, fellas. Not bad.
