MLB: Colorado Rockies at Washington Nationals Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Oh, D.C. sports. April nights can be so much — or so little, so very, very, very little fun.

Here’s the news from Nats Park.

The Mets Problem: How much do these early season games matter?
For the Mets to be on track to win 85 wins, they've far outpaced where they need to be. For the Nats to win 95, they needed to be 7-5 right now — not exactly where they wanted to be, but three wins today, tomorrow, and Sunday could get the team back on course.

Bryce Harper’s viral hair dryer video was a stunt to sell hair-care products
WE WERE ALL DUPED. DUPED, I TELL YOU, DUPED. NOTHING IS REAL.

With oblique not a problem, Matt Wieters makes his return to Nationals lineup
Shockingly, Wieters chose playing in D.C. last night over spending a few more days in Potomac, seeing as his oblique wasn't troubling him at all.

Nationals agree to minor league deal with veteran slugger Mark Reynolds
The veteran hit 30 home runs and posted an .839 OPS with the Rockies last season. There's not much of an obvious place for him, though.

Mark Reynolds agrees to a deal with Nationals
Mark Reynolds AND Matt Reynolds? In this economy?

Adam Eaton's DL stint not expected to be long
After some cloudy talk two days ago, Dave Martinez made it clear yesterday that Adam Eaton will be back in a manner of weeks. He won't be running until this weekend at the earliest, but he'll improve some strengthening. Jeremy Hellickson is nearing readiness, and Koda Glover is throwing from 75 feet.

Trea Turner is taking walks now and is acting less aggressive
Trea Turner's walk rate this year has skyrocketed by more than twofold, at least with the small sample size. In addition, he's swinging at fewer balls. But he's still struggling, which BtBS accredits to his BABIP and oddly low ISO.

Nationals sign Mark Reynolds to minor-league deal
Reynolds, 34, was one of the many casualties of the free-agent market.

Was A.J. Cole’s bounce-back start enough to hold off Jeremy Hellickson?
Cole was good, not great, in Wednesday's loss to the Braves, but was at least more aggressive. However, Jeremy Hellickson is coming up quickly, and would likely have priority over Cole, who would work well as a long man.

Report: Mark Reynolds agrees to deal with Nats
Reynolds is a career .281 hitter with 811 RBIs.

Wieters happy to be back; Glover throwing again
Matt Wieters returned last night, but will have a bunch of days off here and there to keep him healthy. With Pedro Severino up, it's less of a worry — and the warm weather should help everyone.
