Well, that was terrible. The offense isn’t hitting, the starting pitching hasn’t looked like it should, the team is under .500 and just got swept by the god-forsaken METS, the garbage can that New York pretends isn’t there.
The good news is that there’s plenty of urgency in the clubhou-
Martinez: “These guys are playing good baseball. If we keep playing like that, it’s going to be a fun year.”

“Fun year,” indeed. What goes up must come down eventually, and perhaps this is the beginning of the comedown. Or it’s just a bad five-game stretch that will PERHAPS TURN AROUND TONIGHT WHEN MAX SCHERZER PITCHES LIKE MAX SCHERZER? Regardless, we’re getting exposure to the problems that plague the Nats in the playoffs, such as their issues with runners in scoring position. It’s a clear problem that the team has to address. Okay. Rant over. Wire Taps begin now.
For Bryce Harper, this season is all about less talk, more action
Bryce Harper knows there's a lot of talk surrounding his impending free-agency, but he wants his bat to do the majority of his speaking this season.
How long before the Nationals' Daniel Murphy begins playing rehab games?
Once the games start, Murphy thinks he'll be in the majors pretty quickly.
Bryce Harper hits sixth home run of season
It didn't matter, as the Nats lost. Again. For the fifth straight day. Have I mentioned that?
Victor Robles goes 4-4
Can he come up shortly?
Murphy to ramp up rehab
And not a day too soon.
Martinez reflects on ejection and updates Eaton's status
Dave Martinez had only been ejected from a game a few times before coming to D.C., but once it was one of his guys getting ejected, something new took over.
Teddy Must Go
The Nationals, apparently, need to sacrifice Teddy for the greater good of the team. To be honest, I'm not totally against it.
