Major League Baseball released the Washington Nationals’ 2019 schedule this afternoon. It all starts over again on March 28, 2019 when the Nats and New York Mets meet up in D.C.

It will, according to the Nationals’ press release this afternoon, be the earliest start in the franchise’s history.

After three with the Mets, the Nationals play two with the Philadelphia Phillies (April 2-3) on the first homestand of the season. They’ll also be home for three holidays, as the Nationals note:

“The Marlins will visit Nationals Park for both Memorial Day (May 27th) and the annual Fourth of July game at Nationals Park. Finally, the Nationals will welcome the New York Mets on Labor Day (Sept. 2nd).”

Interleague play is against the AL Central in 2019, so the Nationals will play the Chicago White Sox (June 4-5), the Kansas City Royals (July 5-7), and the Cleveland Indians (Sept. 27-29) in Nationals Park and they will visit the Chicago White Sox (June 10-11), the Detroit Tigers (June 28-30) and Minnesota Twins.

The Nationals road series against the Twins in September (10-12) will be the Nationals’ first visit to Target Field.

Other highlights include the 2019 Battle of the Beltway(s), which takes place from July 16-17 in Oriole Park at Camden Yards and August 27-28 in Nationals Park, and three visits to the West Coast, first in May (when they visit LA - May 9-12), then in San Diego (June 6-9), and San Francisco (August 5-7) as part of three separate road trips.
