Well, actually the voting took place early this week, coming off a series win in D.C. against Miami, so maybe the two wins in Atlanta will boost the confidence level in next week’s voting, but for now...
The confidence in the overall direction of the team is down to a season-low 6% (from 13% in last week’s voting). Doing the math of what it’s going to take to get back in the NL East race, it’s not hard to understand a lack of faith in spite of a recent upswing in the nation’s capital.

And Davey Martinez’s managerial approval rating? That actually bumped up to 20% from 11% last week and 14% in the previous week. Martinez survived a round of hot seat rumor-mill-ing from the writers covering the team locally and nationally, and received a sort-of-vote-of-confidence from the Nationals’ brass, who aren’t looking to change things up on Washington’s bench just yet.
This week’s national baseball question, of course, since it’s timely, had to do with the Draft, which takes place next week (starting Monday night, 6/3/19).
