Washington Nationals’ pitchers and catchers reported today and now we have the 2020 Spring Training broadcast schedule as well, huzzah! It’s a banner day!! If you’re patiently waiting for the first MASN broadcast of the Spring, you won’t have to wait long because there will be baseball on your TV or computer on February 22nd at 6:05 PM EST when it kicks off with the two teams that battled it out in the 2019 World Series meeting up in old West Palm Beach’s FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.

It’s the fourth season for the Nationals and Houston Astros in their shared Spring home, though all questions about sign-stealing and trash-can banging should be directed the Astros’ way, thanks.

As for the Nats’ schedule for the Spring? The club noted some highlights in today’s press release on the schedule.

MASN and 106.7 The Fan, they note, “will broadcast a total of 16 Nationals Spring Training matchups in 2020,” with a total of, “... seven games televised by MASN and a combined 12 games airing on 106.7 The Fan and El Zol Deportes WJFK 1580 AM.”

MASN’s broadcast schedule also includes March 24th’s so-called “Homecoming Game” in Washington, D.C., which the team notes, “will feature our Major League team and players from across the Nationals’ farm system.”

That’s an interesting twist on the yearly exhibition game in Nationals Park, which is taking place just two days before the season opener on March 26th in New York’s Citi Field.
