Last year’s Opening Day feels like a lifetime ago. Little did we know that was the day that would start the Washington Nationals’ World Series run that at times during the season looked impossible.
Fast forward to today, a day that should’ve been the start of their title defense, Major League Baseball remains in limbo due to the coronavirus outbreak across the country.
Players, staff, and fans are all finding ways to cope without baseball. MLB The Show gaming tournaments and simulations are taking place, re-watches of old games are happening across America,
MLB is showing classic games for every team during the course of the day — no prizes for guessing which Nationals game they’re choosing to air at 3pm Eastern Time though. (DOINK)
The plan is for baseball to resume at some point this season. The Nationals will raise that World Series banner at Nationals Park and all will be right in the world.
