SB Nation Reacts: 2020 MLB season polling; Who wins the NL East? NL Cy Young?

The results are in. Who’s going to win the NL Cy Young? Who is going to win the NL East? The NL pennant?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Nationals fans, sign up HERE to join SB Nation Reacts.

Will Max Scherzer rebound from an injury-impacted season (in which he still managed to finish third in NL Cy Young voting) to win a fourth overall Cy Young award as a soon-to-be-36-year-old starter?

Will Stephen Strasburg follow up on his 2019 performance and his ‘19 World Series MVP win and make a push for the first Cy Young of his career?

SB Nation Reacts voters were asked this week to predict who will end up winning the NL Cy Young this year.

The preseason poll results, a week ahead of Opening Day?:

The majority of voters have New York Mets’ starter Jacob deGrom winning a third straight NL Cy Young, with Scherzer second behind his divisional rival, and hey, there’s old Patrick Corbin in fourth there.

He won a World Series ring in his first season in D.C. A Cy Young for Corbin in the second year of his 6-year/$140M deal with the Nationals? That would be a nice surprise.

SB Nation Reacts voters don’t think deGrom’s Mets or Scherzer’s Nationals are going to win the division in 2020. Voters picked the Atlanta Braves for a third straight NL East title in this week’s voting:

I think there was some ballot stuffing going on or something, or someone rigged the voting and maybe something ... whatever. Who’s going to win the National League pennant after a certain team from D.C. won their first last October?

I think there was some ballot stuffing going on or something, or someone rigged the voting and maybe something ... whatever.

Keep underestimating the defending World Series champions, who are going to do their best to repeat in this year’s 60-game MLB campaign.
