Over three months later than planned, the Washington Nationals finally received their World Series rings on Thursday morning in a small ceremony before the team’s workout.
“As you can tell, I’m still smiling about it,” Dave Martinez told reporters on Thursday. “Let’s put it this way, it was definitely worth the wait.
“We waited a while to get these things on our finger, but I look at it, and like I said, it’s all about all the work we put into this. The players, the way we did it, the way the players did it just means a lot to me, it means a lot to my family.
“I’m proud. I’m proud to be wearing this thing today, and we’re here again hopefully to get another one.”
The Nationals weren’t exactly shy to flex their shiny new, well-earned, World Series ring...

Erick Fedde’s reveal feels like it needs dramatic music...
Never forget that Javy Guerra finished Game 2 of the World Series:
Broadcasters get them too! F.P. shared his with his family:
We opened up his ring together as a family on a video chat. He got choked up. A lot of sweat, tears, and sacrifice went into that ring, even as a broadcaster. Things you won’t ever fully understand. Glad we got to share that moment. Congrats! https://t.co/xT1ysJX7V0 pic.twitter.com/RjowjSapdz

Didn’t do a damn thing to deserve this, but holy hell is it the coolest thing ever.
