You know who we haven’t written or heard about much this spring? Yasmany Tomás. At one time, the outfielder was signed to a 6-year/$68.5M deal by the Arizona Diamondbacks, but he signed a minor league deal with the Washington Nationals this spring, and he’s in camp trying to win a spot on the major league roster. So how’s the hard-hitting infielder/outfielder doing?

“So far so good,” manager Davey Martinez said. “I like him. He moves pretty good too. We got him in left field, we put him at third base to back up one day. He looks like he moves pretty good there. We’re going to try to get him some ground balls at first base as well, but he swings the bat, and we like that a lot. He’s a right-handed guy that we think can hit the ball a long ways, and we like that.”

Now you know. And knowing is half the battle. So keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars. Go read your links...
