Carter Kieboom

After watching the Nats/Mets game on ESPN the other day, and seeing Davey Martinez expressing his confidence in Carter Kieboom, all I can say is, that vote of confidence is like one an owner gives a field manager. Not worth much. Kieboom, in this game, did his normal 0 for 2 -- ground ball outs. What galled me, was that on the play where he grounded to the shortstop, and he started a rundown of runner on third trying to score, Kieboom, if he was any kind of player, should have been running hard to second while the rundown continued. He had time. That lack of hustle soured me on Kieboom forever. Bring Spencer Kieboom back. He was more solid as a player. When a guy is projected to be a budding star, but he's really still a fringe player, you'd think he'd go out of his way to impress the field boss and the front office. Kieboom, the younger, has done nothing but disappoint. The Nats would do well to trade him.
