Prince George's Co. libraries, Washington Nationals pair for summer reading program


Historically, advancing youth literacy rates in Prince George’s County has been quite a challenge. According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the most recent data from 2019 shows that 3rd graders were only 25.8% proficient in reading throughout the county. And due to the pandemic, educators worry that those numbers are going to continue to drop.
